We love community based therapy, whether it’s at your local library, family outing, or park, River City Speech and Myo wants to help teach you how to implement skills across all locations, not just a structured therapy setting.
Social skills groups and individualized pragmatic therapy focus on real-world communication: initiating and maintaining conversations, understanding nonverbal cues and tone, perspective-taking, problem-solving in peer interactions, and using language appropriately across settings. Therapy combines structured practice, role-play, video feedback, and community-based opportunities to generalize skills.

We treat communication needs across the lifespan, including articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language skills, pragmatic and social communication, fluency (stuttering), and myofunctional therapy for orofacial, tongue-tie and swallowing impairments.
Teletherapy services are available across Virginia and beyond, offering flexible, secure virtual sessions for individual therapy, parent coaching and consult, and can help reduce travel burdens for families.
